how to export transparent png in procreate
HeyBraza points at the background-color layer checkbox you have to untick - the step that leaves a white box when you skip it.
exporting a sticker or logo from procreate and getting a white box behind it is the classic trap. the fix is one toggle most people miss: the background layer. here's the exact order on your ipad so your png saves with real transparency.
or do it yourself
- 1open the layers panel and find the 'background color' layer at the very bottom.
- 2untick the checkbox next to it - the canvas now shows a checkerboard, meaning it's transparent.
- 3tap the wrench (actions) icon, then 'share'.
- 4choose 'png' (not jpeg - jpeg can't hold transparency).
- 5save or airdrop the file - the png now has no white background.

you exported with the background-color layer still on - open the layers panel and untick 'background color' before sharing as png.
can i export a transparent jpeg from procreate?
no - jpeg has no transparency. use png (or share layers as png) for a see-through background.
