blender · HeyBraza shows you
why did my object disappear in blender
HeyBraza spots whether it's hidden, clipped, or in local view and points at the exact key to bring it back.
an object suddenly vanishing from the viewport is a classic blender panic - but it's almost never deleted. usually you hit a key that hid it, zoomed past the clipping distance, or entered local view. here's how to get it back fast.
short answer
check the outliner first - if it's still listed the object exists and is only hidden. press alt+h to unhide, press / to leave local view, and numpad . to frame it in case it's simply off-screen or enormous.
or do it yourself
- 1first check it still exists - look in the outliner (top-right list); if it's listed, it's just not visible, not gone.
- 2press alt+h to unhide everything, in case you accidentally pressed h.
- 3press / (forward slash) to toggle out of local view, which isolates a single object and hides the rest.
- 4select the object in the outliner and press numpad . (period) to frame it - it may just be off-screen or huge.
- 5still gone? open the n-panel (press n) > view and raise 'clipping end' - objects past the clip distance vanish.

let HeyBraza do this with you

my object is in the outliner but not the viewport - why?
it's hidden (press alt+h), you're in local view (press /), or it's outside the view clipping range - try numpad period to frame it.
what key did i accidentally press to hide it?
almost certainly h (hide) or / (local view); alt+h unhides and / exits local view.
