how to link artboards in sketch for prototyping
HeyBraza points at the prototyping add button in the inspector and the preview control so links actually fire.
sketch has native prototyping - you connect screens with links and hotspots, then preview the flow, no plugin needed. people get stuck on where the link control hides. here's the exact path from layer to clickable prototype.
short answer
select the layer to act as a button, press w (or click add next to 'prototyping' in the inspector), and click the target frame. mark your first frame as the 'start point', then hit preview to click through the flow.
or do it yourself
- 1select the layer, group, or symbol you want to act as a button.
- 2in the inspector, click the add icon next to 'prototyping', or press w, then click the target frame to link to it.
- 3to make a clickable area instead of a whole layer, choose 'insert' > 'hotspot' and draw it over the spot.
- 4set the start point: select the first frame and tick 'start point' in the prototyping section.
- 5click 'preview' in the toolbar to test the flow, clicking through your links.

downloadcommon questions
what's the keyboard shortcut to add a prototype link in sketch?
press w with a layer selected - w as in 'wire' - then click the artboard or frame you want it to jump to.
why doesn't my prototype link do anything in preview?
the link target may be unset or the layer isn't the one you think - reselect it, confirm a target frame in the prototyping panel, then preview again.
