midjourney used to live entirely inside discord, so most guides still tell you to type /imagine in a chat. but you can now do everything at midjourney.com - once you're subscribed. here's where to start in the actual web app.

  1. 1go to midjourney.com and sign in with google or discord - you still need a paid plan, so subscribe first if you haven't.
  2. 2open the 'create' page (the imagine icon in the left nav) - this is your hub for generating images.
  3. 3click into the imagine bar at the top and type what you want to see.
  4. 4press enter or hit the send button - your four images start generating in the feed right below.
  5. 5click any finished image to open it fullscreen and reveal the upscale, vary, edit and download tools.
