- 1select the frame with the selection tool - the red plus sits in the bottom-right 'out port' of the frame.
- 2to read the hidden text, put your cursor in the frame and choose edit > edit in story editor.
- 3click the red plus out-port once (the cursor loads with the overflow), then click or drag on the page to draw a new frame - the text flows in.
- 4to flow it automatically across many pages, hold shift before you click - indesign adds frames and pages until the text ends.
- 5if it stays overset in a big empty frame, the text is too large or hyphenation is off - shrink the font or turn on type > paragraph > hyphenate.
