- 1go to file > package - indesign scans the document and shows a summary of fonts, links, and any problems.
- 2check the 'summary' and 'links and images' tabs for any missing or modified links; click 'update' or relink before continuing.
- 3click 'package', then in the next dialog tick 'copy fonts', 'copy linked graphics', and 'update graphic links in package'.
- 4choose a destination folder and click 'package' - indesign builds a folder with the .indd, a 'links' folder, a 'document fonts' folder, and a print-ready pdf.
- 5zip that whole folder and send it - the recipient gets every asset, so nothing shows up missing.
